I have made some progress (?!). I found out there is an tttI manual that
describes an interface to an isdn device. I linked /dev/ttyI0 to
/dev/modem and hylafax recognizes it as a modem. I haven't get it
Hylafax working on it however, there is a problem witdh the
communication speed somehow.

minicom now opens the isdn- modem as if it is an async one. After
setting a msn/eaz (?) ("AT&E<phonenumber>"); a call can be made with
atd<number>. Now I need to get Hylafax to do the same settings.
