It's much easier to run an NFS server on the Linux box and use the
shareware app NFSManager to set up the Mac as an NFS client.

I've never successfully gotten Netatalk to work on Linux (but then
again I haven't tried it in the last year).  And configuring a Samba
server is just a mess.
