Well after all the discussions and some research into books and such
to use I decided to try out mySQL for the project that I am working
on. I have been playing with it a little bit. It is like sooooo
cool! I have mySQL loaded on a Mandrake 10.0 box. I have connected
to it from Windows, both with the control center, and with Microsoft
Access using ODBC. It is sooooo cool (I guess I said that already).
This is going to be so nice to work with I think. I have not used
RealBASIC yet but think that will be the frontend programming
environment that I will probably use for most of it. I may do a bit
of it using PHP but I think the main program needs to be a local
client to give a bit more flexability in the interface.
I want to thank everyone with all the comments that they made while I
was trying to work this all out.
