[KLUG Members] BOOTP cards do not sent DNS Domain name, why?

APC UPS cards and HP JetDirect cards. Both vendors suggest BOOTP vs DHCP mode
of operation, but in BOOTP mode the DNS domain name does not get set on the
card. Calling APC they said it must be manually set when in the suggested BOOTP
mode.

????

Can someone fill me in on why this is? If BOOTP is the "better" method I would
expect it to do more, not less.
