No, this stuff has never run Windows of any era. These are old PA-RISC
workstations (HP-UX) in the 100/125/180 Mhz speed range.
A long time ago I noticed that Debian had a PA-RISC port, so I installed
Linux on one of the 100 Mhz machines for fun. It seemed to run fine
(but slow :) but I only ran it for a day or so before I got board.
If anyone wants a low performance server, or wants to play with Linux on
non-Intel hardware, let me know! FREE! :-) And if someone were to
take these dozen or so _complete_ boxes (lots of memory, disk, etc.),
I'll get my boss to throw in a few 19" fixed frequency monitors that
these machines use. **
These boxes are probably more secure on the internet than a x86 box
because of the uncommon CPU (seems like a hacker would have to rewrite
his machine code for the buffer overflows).
** notice I'm not selling anything to stay within the KLUG list rules.
all this stuff is FREE! :-)
