I have Red Hat 9 and W 98 on my desktop. The Windows program recognizes
and uses my scanner (Mikrotek Scanmaker X6) but the Red Hat does not.
(XSane does not find it, neither does the hardware prober.) As I read
the manual, kudzu should be automatically detecting the scanner. 
--Is that right?

I wanted to run kudzu to add it but could not find kudzu on my KDE
desktop. 
--Should kudzu be somewhere in the "Start Application" menu list if it's
installed? 

--If I did a "normal" automated install, should kudzu have been
installed?  (This install is over a year old and I don't remember
exactly what I selected.)
