(Please understand there is NOTHING MySQL specific about this, it is
merely the database used in the example.  I've use this technique to
connect to both PostgreSQL and Informix [ a real $50,000 commercial
database ]).

Data pilot is cool too.  But the forms functionality doesn't get nearly
enough press.  This alone is enough to justify installing OOo, even if
you use M$-Office for everything else.
