phpMyAdmin is a popular, easy-to-use web-based method for working with
your MySQL databases. With it you can view , create, and modify all your
tables, run queries, and much more, all using web-based forms.
http://www.phpmyadmin.net/ phpMyAdmin has become the de-facto standard
for MySQL administration

for other databases like PostgreSQL are being developed.
http://phppgadmin.sourceforge.net/ We will cover how to set phpMyAdmin
up securely, how it works, and useful things to do with it.
