With my birthday comming up, I need some advice about webcams (quess why
;-) ). So I searched all the klug messages and found some messages
dating from 07/2002.

The price is nice but what application can I use best? I had no luck
with usb so far. The only device I got working with usb is the mice...

I would like to make 'snapshots', every xx seconds, do a diff and with
not enough difference only record that nothing has changed. So most
likely the application is best command line based. Writing the
application myself is an acceptable option as long I can get the images
from the usb interface.
