FYI,

EA Released The SIMS for linux... Mandrake even released a "Gaming Edition"
that included it...
It is well supported under WineX.

I see some software vendors are releasing source code (id Software) and
even offer compilers and cd extractors that include the binaries needed
to run windows based games. My question is, how difficult would it be
to write these files? I have some games that I don't see much support
for Linux other than developer's betas or distribution specific
programming (i.e. Aliens vs. Predator and The Sims). Is this something
that requires the source code?
