Only applications linked to the CUPS library will automativally
enumerate printers; this includes Open Office and most GNOME
applications. Most other applications do not, although it may depend on
your distribution; FireFox on SuSe DOES enumerate CUPS printers while
the FireFox I tried on Fedora does not.

SuSe automatically mounts are removable media under /media
The ability to lock down desktops is still very primitive.

Get basic mail serving working first, recieving and sending. Then go
back and add AV/spam features. Otherwise you're biting off too much in
one pass. Feel free to ask specific questions here.
