[KLUG Members] slow dns response from Internet stuff

I have a new SuSE 9.1 box that I have installed as a workstation.  I
initially was having major problem with slow startup and slow start
of programs.  I looked at the DNS and it was not setup good from
DHCP.  I manually put in the DNS and default gateway information. 
The startup of the system improved dramatically as did login and
starting of programs.  When I try to go to somewhere on the Internet
though it is very slow on the initial connection of new sites.  I am
not sure how this could still be a DNS issue but am not sure what
else it could be.
