[KLUG Members] samba server can be browsed but not pinged

Ah, the infamous 0x04D2 error!  Scary when you actually have MEMORIZED the error
code.  Did I ever mention the deep loating I feel towards M$-Windows?

That almost guarantees you have some type of packet filtering in place (firewall
on the new Samba box?).

Try flushing the iptables table, and making sure the default policies are not
deny or reject.
