I have a guy with a toshiba laptop sporting a Intel 855 GM video chip (i810) family. Under XPeee he can do multihead - that is internal display and external display as two independent displays. But multihead under Linux (SuSe 9.2 Pro) appears to be disabled - it say that a multihead environment isn't available (yast).
