Ya ive setup a few... and understand how they work (generally)... anyways you need the kernel patch
for a custom kernel, you have to install LVM, vserver-tools RPM, then you need a temlate... A template
is an actual operating system that is copied to the LVM partitions created... 

We run our virtual servers in a production environment (for cash) so they are definately stable..

In a learing environment they would be great because you can create 10-30 seperate server environments
on one server (all depending on disk space) each with root access, its own ip, etc etc etc etc...

students can totally fubar their server, then afer class you just remove and recopy the OS template ..
