You need to update putty.  My version is 0.55, and there might be 
something newer than that.  I ran into the same problem when I upgraded 
to (I think) SuSE 9.1.  SuSE tightened the ssh security and allowed a 
smaller set of encryption options in the newer versions.  Old versions 
of putty didn't support any of the ones that SuSE allowed.
