[KLUG Members] PPTP.

I've been playing around with setting up a pptp server and connecting to
it remotely from my laptop running XP-home. I am able to connect and
setup the VPN fine, but have a couple issues.

In /etc/ppp/options.pptpd I have a couple "ms-dns" lines with the IP
addresses of my internal DNS servers. "ipconfig /all" shows those
servers on the VPN interface, but the resolver seems to be using the DNS
servers of the internet interface first, so I can't resolve any internal
host names. I can access my internal hosts by number, but not name.
Is there any way to use the ms-dns servers first?

Also, the default route on XP gets set to the VPN IP. Everything works
OK, but it seems like a terrible waste of bandwidth on the server end
since all traffic, including that to the Internet, gets proxy'ed though
the remote pptp server. Any way to make Internet traffic skip the VPN?
