GEEK JEOPARDY TONIGHT!

Free Pizza, Prizes, and Hilarity.  Not being there would be like running
M$-DOS 4.0 on a Cray.

Players
--------
Up to four team members per round, six players per team, you
can switch out as many players as you want between rounds. Each team is
permitted two substitutions per round at any point. An accidental third
subsitition will cost the team 2048 points in the single jeopardy round,
and 4096 points in the double jeopardy round. Any additional substition
will cost the team 10,248 points, regardless of the round. No
substitions are permitted during final jeopardy. Closed book, no laptops
(Bruce!).

Detailed Rules Of Melee
-----------------------
1.) A role of dice will determine which team goes first each round.
2.) The team responding correctly to a question gets to select the next
answer.
3.) If no team responds with the correct question for an answer the team
to most recently respond correctly selects the next answer.
4.) Responses must be phrased as a question or they will automatically
be incorrect; no 'restatement' permitted.
5.) The player on the team stating the correct response will recieve a
point towards the gift certificate.
6.) The player must hold down their button while answering, and release
when complete.
6.1.) The buzzer system resets after 5 seconds with an audible tone.  If
the tone is heard before a player has completed their response, the
response will be considered incorrect.
7.) Only one player on each team may attempt a response to an answer.
8.) A player will have a maximum of fifteen seconds to respond to an
answer.
8.1) If a response is not COMPLETED in that amount of the time the
response will automatically be incorrect.
9.) A team must have a positive score in order to wager in Final
Jeopardy, and cannot wager more than their score.
10.) Substitutions may only be called between answers, not while a
answer is in play.
