"What 'decency standards' should your open source project uphold?
Fortunately for most open source software projects, decency isn't a
factor. However, as the concept of open source branches out beyond
software, dealing with illegal, objectionable and potentially offensive
contributions is inevitable. The consequences of getting it wrong are
potentially devastating to an open source project, landing the project
in legal hot water, garnering bad publicity, alienating the project's
user base and chasing away valuable contributors."

I wrote this article about decency standards for open source projects,
and I'd like to see if I can get it some traction on Digg, as an experiment.

If you're interested and you don't yet have a Digg account, go to
www.digg.com and register (it's really quick) and then look up the
article at

http://digg.com/technology/Decency_Standards_for_Open_Source

And be sure to hit the "Digg it" link to help promote it to the front
page. The blog, by the way, is totally non-commercial and this article
is about open source, so I genuinely think you'll be interested.

Thanks,
-Kevin
