Hello, everyone ---

	I'm new to the list.  I'm a Montana lawyer interested in using more 
open source software in my solo law practice.  I currently use Open 
Office, Thunderbird, Firefox and Sunbird and would like to eventually 
migrate completely to a Linux desktop fully equipped with case 
management and accounting tools.

	Most of the challenges I face have to do with interoperability with 
other lawyers' Microsoft Word and Corel formats.  There's also a lack of 
open source programs with fully integrated tools like proprietary 
programs such as Amicus Attorney or Timeslips.

	At any rate, I'm glad to be here and excited to learn more from this 
group.
