[KLUG Members] multipath support

I've been playing with ibm sdd to get multiple paths to 
storage to work/loadbalance/failover.  I've been told that
the 2.6 kernel of Debian supports a native device mapping
and associated dm-tools set of programs.  Does anyone
know the status of this in the Redhat world?  I can't seem
to find much mention of it.
