Is eth2 configured?  If so, "ifup eth2" ought to do the job.  It's been a 
while since I've used Mandrake, but that was how it worked when I did.

(I am now of the opinion that Mandrake is a bit brain-dead... but that's just 
because I've become an elitist propeller head and run Slackware. *wink*)
