Look into "Fink".  I tried it when it was new and didn't keep it.  Not 
that I gave it much of a chance to grow.  I just didn't need what it did 
at the time.

I did a search on the Fink site and Evolution comes up, but I don't know 
how well it will work.

Also, and I have only heard of this and how it works, there is Gentoo 
Portage.

Supposedly you can use this to install (or build from source) most linux 
apps to run on Mac OSX.  I am not versed in this at all, and what I know 
about is infinitesimal.  But it is probably worth looking into.
