[KLUG Members] persistent orphan

I've got an orphan window that won't go away on my Gnome desktop: the
splash screen for Acrobat reader, About Acrobat Reader 5.0.9. It won't
close when I try different ways to close it; it doesn't go away if I
reload and exit Acrobat reader. It comes back even if I log off and even
if I shut down the computer and restart it.

When I go to the menu (MandrakeLinuxMenu -> Offic -> Publishing ->
Acrobat Reader), the program opens almost instantaneously, though a
different splash screen show for just an instant. 

Any suggestions?
