We frequently receive XLS spreadsheets of greater that 32,000 lines,
some are twice that size.  A pricing contract for instance can easily
have more than 32,000 line items.

Since we are the receiver we have to be able to open them.  It seems odd
that gnumeric can open a file that OOo can't.
