Right, I guessed he was.  My question about the stumbling block wasn't 
derisive in any way, which probably goes without saying with this reasonable 
group, but I feel better having said it.  

I was pretty much just asking him to describe what part of the process he was 
actually stuck on.  Hopefully those links to RPMs of GRAMPS for Suse are 
helpful.

I see that Adam suggested how he could help check to see if the packages are 
installed.

I would think that installing one of those RPMS I linked to would result in 
YAST prompting to install the dependencies.  I run slackware or I'd check it 
myself.  If I get a round tuit, I may install Suse on VMWare to see if I can 
get GRAMPS to install and run.  

What version of Suse are you running Brock?
