Now that's a weird one!  :-)

Try this:  

Move the file to your home directory (if it's not there).

Start a terminal window.

Switch to root:  su -

As root, type:  rpm -ivh gramps-1.0.10-1suse92.i586.rpm

If may say that some package(s) are missing.  If so,
go to add/remove software, search for them, add them.

Repeat the "rpm" command above, until you get stuck 
and copy/paste the result of the rpm command here.

If the rpm command completes, log off, log back on,
look for "gramps" on your menu somewhere.  Run it.

If you can't find gramps on your menu, start a terminal
window, do _NOT_ switch to root, and type:  gramps
