Hey all:
I'm trying to get dual monitors to work on my latest Linux install. So
far, I can get either the left or right monitor to work, but not both.
The only time I got both to work was as a clone.
Here's some details of what I'm using:
OS: SuSe 9.2 Pro (thought I'd give it a try since folks seem to like it)
Graphics card: NVidia 6800 GT with one analog and one DVI out
I'm running two Planar monitors with one hooked to the DVI out and one
hooked to the analog out. I've been playing with Twinview and the
RightOf or LeftOf settings in conjunction with the Multiple monitor
command of DFP, CRT. I've done all of this within YAST's graphic card
configurator.
I know that both monitors work as dual in Linux since I do get the Linux
splash screen on boot up. It's when XWindows kicks in I lose the one
monitor.
I have installed the NVidia drivers via YAST. Any other recommendations?
Thanks.
Alan
