The passage is trying to say that truth has a moral weight even among
wicked people.  He gave her "justice" not just "her demands."  The point
behind this is why we have freedom of assembly, freedom to protest, and
a free press.  Not that any of them are perfect or can't be misused, but
that there's a chance the weight of truth will have its effect on
authority, even wicked authority.

The application of the passage is that surely God himself, being good
and just and fair, will grant justice to any who appeal to him.  The
question is whether there are those who will believe him.

Beyond that is the dweebish tendency to assume the worst motives of
everybody else, especially religion.  There is no proof that this is the
best method of finding the truth about anything.  Sometimes things and
people are better than we expect.
