i set up a brand new install of suse 9.3 pro to be used as a test server inside of a windows lan. 
this is really the first time that i set up samba server. i have samba working just fine except for 
one thing...i cannot write to the server. i can browse/view "/home/eng" just fine on my winxp 
machine but i'm stuck in read-only mode. i cannot drop files from my winxp machine to this new suse 
machine. i get a write-protection error dialog. i have turned off the read-only on this share and i 
added a writable = yes in my smb.conf file as a double measure.

any advice?
