The Samba documentation has very clear step-by-step instructions for
setting up a Linux member in an AD Domain.  Use the *OFFICIAL*
documentation (the two PDFs) on the Samba site.  Otherwise there are
lots of crufty obsolete and incorrect documents floating around the web.
