Does anyone know of such a thing as a NAD (Network Attached Display)?
Sort of like the RFB (VNC for those layman) video cameras that connect
via ethernet, but in reverse - a display device that attaches to a
network and gets its display from somewhere. I'm looking at mounting a
display up on a wall, but really don't want to have to stash some
stupid PC somewhere to 'make it go' (the somewhere would have to be
above the ceiling in a filthy space with no circulation that gets easily
upwards of 100F in the summer); there already is an ethernet drop to
this spot.
