Hello All,
I am asking for any guidance you might have regarding the install of
SuSE Linux on a P4 IBM laptop. Eventually it will have to run at least
Outlook 2003 because that's what the company I work for uses. Should I
use some sort of virtual pc? Is there some other program I can use? I
have all the specs on the system etc but since SuSE is an IBM partner I
expect few complications on the install itself. I expect more of a
struggle getting SBC DSL to work with it. I'm looking for more general
advice regarding whether to purchase a separate firewall or go with the
one bundled, what additional software to add besides Staroffice 8, etc.
The printer I'm using is a Brother DCP-7020 and according to Brother is
supported. The machine will be used mostly for business, web access both
wired and wireless, running vendor apps (windows), invoicing and
spreadsheet, email, etc.
Thanks,
Peter
