[KLUG Members] RAID

Shouldn't clocks adjust for that? When I get mail from Michigan, it
doesn't arrive in my inbox with a timestamp four hours in the future.

Whats' the timestamp on this email? It should read somewhere around
10:10 PM AKDT, which will be 2:10 EDT. Assuming some mail server
inbetween doesn't hold things up.

When someone sends me an email from Denver or Calgary, it arrives in my
inbox with a local time. Similarly, when I send mail to Denver, or
Michigan, it arrives in the other person's inbox with a local time.

If the 'time' on email always appeared in people's inboxes with the
sender's local time, wouldn't that mess up date-based sorting?

How come Komal's are the only ones coming in at the wrong time, when I
get mail from all over the US? Well, except the spams I get from
December 31 of 1969. Are those from the past?

Finally, email from Komal initially was 12 hours ahead not 9, and the
final email from Komal was 24 hours in the future. Does that mean Komal
is in the future?! Wow!

Komal, I'm not picking on you here. If you're on a linux box, you can
use NTP to your advantage (it's what I use to keep all my systems up to
date, so to speak). If you're on XP (outlook express headers) there's
also an ntp/time client on XP you can enable to keep things in time.

Ah: A bit more light. In my headers. Notable items in >>> <<< marks.
Notice the adjusted time of 13:48, then the India time of 23:17, then
Komal's OE header of 06 Oct 23:16.
