[KLUG Members] Question on Open Source Reporting tools

Hi,
I am trying to develop a demo tool; that lets one retrieve data from
multiple databases, and lets the user create reports and charts. I thought
I would use an open source reporting solution, as reporting part is
complex.

I have found Jasper Reports and installed it. Open Reports and Ireport seem
like nice UI to work with, but I am not able to install them.

are there any other tools that I can use with Jasper Reports. I looked at
Object Visualizer ( but I am not sure how to use the jdbc connection).

For object visualizer, I added jdbc driver jar file to lib directory of the
installation, but I dont know where to specify the data source.
