[KLUG Members] External Program Settings in OpenOffice

I'm trying to get OpenOffice to open links in OO documents in Firefox.
I've gone to the External Programs page and typed 'firefox' and then
'Firefox' into the textbox for HTML links. When I try then to open a
link in an OO document I get this error message:

"An error occurred in starting the web browser. Please check the
OpenOffice.org settings under 'Tools-Options-OpenOffice.org-External
Programs' and the settings for your web browser.'"

(This message appears whether or not Firefox is open.)

OO help is no help--it just says use this space to "Select the
program..."

(Initially OO wanted to open the links in Epiphany, which seems a really
crappy browser to me.)
(The dialog box for External Programs does not seem to open to full
width--it's chopped off on the right side and is not amenable to
dragging to increase its width. Nor does it seem to have a maximize
button. So maybe there are some options on that page that I'm
missing...? If so, how can I get that dialog box to expand?)
