Why would you wish to complicate a bandwidth test by including the
complexity of the flash player?

You need the Flash MX player (Flash version 6)
to use the new Beeline Bandwidth Test.
Click here to download the Flash MX player
(free. estimated downloadtime: 1 minute / 56K modem).

Beeline Bandwidth Test v.3

    * Has a new interface.
    * Uses Flash instead of Shockwave. Flash is less CPU-intensive which
      means it works with greater accuracy on slower systems.
    * Plays sounds as test-result.
    * Enables you to e-mail the results to a friend.

As you may or may not know, there isn't a flash player available for
AMD64 ports of linux. Or am I wrong? Who cares anyway, I'm starting to
dislike macromedia and to propogate anti-macromedia propoganda. There
are some interesting social and business related issues at stake here --
in my intitial opinion.

In your view as to linux interoperability issues, why do you think (or
not think) that there has been a lack of support for the macromedia
flash plugin for x86_64 platforms? Isn't it simply a matter of using
the proper compiler flags? Or is it simply too much effort vs. the
reward given for macro'medium' to provide support for a x86_64 flash
player ?
