Considering our line of business and [lack of] web site traffic, it
seems like extreme overkill to me.
If I ever learn anything about Websphere and/or DB2, I'll give a
presentation. But don't get your hopes up. They already hired a
consultant to install all the software (including Redhat). They are
also hiring another firm to develop the new web site.
My current knowledge of DB2 is: boot the box, run a "ps -ef", and yup
there are processes running with "db2" in the name, so db2 must be
running. No idea if Webshere is running ...
