What a wonderful update :)

Look in the Xorg server's log file (probably /var/log/Xorg**** something or other) and see why it won't start.
If you can figure that out, then you can probably fix it in xorg.conf.

If whatever updated your xorg.conf file was nice, it should have saved a backup of it, so you can just mv xorg.conf.backupname
to xorg.conf, in order to use your old driver/configuration -- maybe, I'm not sure what this update actually did.

Was the update for the driver, or was it for a kernel module for dri?

I would be glad to look at the Xorg logfile if you can't spot anything.

Good luck.
