[KLUG Members] ssh and windows xp...

It runs X-windows in the taskbar. (see the little X symbol?)

While SSHed in (via Putty w/ X-forwarding turned on!) run an X program at the command line.
Assuming you have the DISPLAY variable set correctly (see below) in your remote shell it should
pop up as a separate program in Windows.

My Display setting:

$ echo $DISPLAY
localhost:10.0
