	I believe what happened is that trying to remove some symbolic links I 
may have also removed my CUPS initialization script. I did not compile 
the kernel myself, it was an automatic update and it may have had 
nothing to do with what happened. My machine is currently on vacation at 
the IBM depot in Memphis to cure a cranky power button. I will dig into 
just what exactly I did when I get it back and post then. Thanks for 
your help.
