Hi All,

Wanted to share some information with you all.  WMNUG will be having it's 3rd
Annual "The Big EveNt" on January 31st and February 1st 2007 at Calvin College.
 We're focusing on broader topics this year, including ITIL and Open Source
items.  Jeff Price from Novell will be presenting on MythTV.  

We'll also be charging $35 this year - for the first time - as we'll be
feeding everyone lunch and need to cover that cost.  We're always looking for
volunteers to help with the event and ideas for topics of interest.  The only
Linux-OS company that will be there is Novell, so please don't request Red Hat
be invited (they wouldn't come anyway), but if you know of local Linux
consulting groups that we should invite I'd love to have some contact info.

There is also a new Linux start up group meeting in Grand Rapids - WMLUG, kind
of an off-shoot of our Novell group - that is more focused on desktops and is
OS-neutral offering help across multiple distributions.  WMLUG and WMNUG have
some cross over in membership so it will have a presence at our big event.  If
KLUG is interested in helping out with support and maybe having some kind of a
presence please let me know.

The Help Desk Institute (HDI) organization is helping us staff the event this
year as well and will have some table space in exchange for their help.
