might want to check in the System Settings for what keyboard layout is listed. sounds to me like the layout is not properly set. the software may have overwritten it. happens when two developers don't get on the same page.

Coming to you from the run disc of Kubuntu.

Running 32 bit Kubuntu 6.06 LTS on a 64 bit processor.
Lots of memory, lots of hard drive. Machine not dual
booted.

After letting my two grand daughters play games on
this box including the typing tutorial in the
Edutainment section, I discovered that nothing on the
keyboard works. Not letter or number keys, function
keys, nothing. I tried another keyboard, no luck.
Rebooted, no luck, but am typing this now when running
from the run disc. Obviously a software problem. Can
I easily fix or must I reload?
