The fact that there is a VPN isn't really relevant.  What OS do you have
at home?

You want to print from the remote LINUX server printing to your local
printer at home?

If you are getting the same IP address every time or have DNS
registration setting up an IPP printer would probably be the easiest;
assuming both ends support IPP (LINUX/LINUX or LINUX/XP should be fine).
