ahhh...no, to answer your question. once of the things that i wanted to do was to try cain and abel 
to see if it picked up anything.

you just taught me something though...desktop sharing in linux. never tried it before now, thanks to 
you. it's definitely an alternative to starting the vncserver and connecting with tightvnc. i 
connected through my browser and it works fairly well, i must say.
