Shame, I would have done it for free. What type of connection does the palm have Serial? I thought all you had to do for serial communication was specifiy /dev/ttyS0 for COM 1 and /dev/ttyS1 for COM 2 in the program. With the Kodak, depending on what the m/n is you may be able to use the "Mass Storage" driver to just mount the camera like a hard disk. Which apps do you require in Window$? There may be open source alternatives.

Subject: [KLUG Members] SUSE 10.0, VM Ware 5.5, Palm and a digital camera

Hi All,
Well, I finally have SUSE installed on my IBM T30. I ended up paying
someone to install it. The basic installation works great but we're
really struggling with trying to connect a Palm TX and a late model
Kodak digital camera to it. It would be nice to get suspend working as
well since it's a laptop. We found drivers for everything else and it
just needs to be tweaked as far as that goes. I'm to the point of
thinking about switching distributions but they seem to have the same
problem and I need to stay with a flavor that VM Ware supports so I can
run windows. I'm way past frustrated and the whole total cost of
ownership thing has been blown to bits. I really would like to get this
to work, I have no hair left and my teeth are ground to nubs. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
Peter
