[KLUG Members] reveal codes

Wow! I thought our list had the occasional run-on thread. I've been
following the open office mailing list for a couple of weeks. They have
two different threads called 'reveal codes' that have 56 and 66 entries
respectively and still going strong (ie, whether OO Writer should have
something like Word Perfect's Reveal Codes option which shows at each
point in the document what formatting codes are operative).

I've captured a bunch of them and will look for material relevant to my
May presentation on styles, formats, etc. One wonders what the marginal
contribution of the later postings might be.

PS--this is not an invitation to start a discussion of the issue here.
As my dad used to say about faculty meetings in the HS where he was
principal, "I guess everything's been said, even though everyone hasn't
said it." If people are interested, after hearing what I include in my
presentation, I might be induced to do another presentation devoted
strictly to summarizing the state of the argument--might keep some
people from trying to re-invent the wheel.
