i'm not using my suse workstation as a server of any kind here at work. that's what i use my red hat
server for. i use the suse box get to applications that i cannot run on windows or that i choose not
to run on windows. if there was a novel/suse 10.0 image (i only see a release 9 available) then i
could possibly drop the workstation (not physically, ha) from the mix and run a virtual desktop
instead.

i just read some things on the vmware player forum about apt and the ubuntu image not working
correctly. it's possible that ubuntu would work for me as well...even though i prefer suse.
