[KLUG Members] Linux Certification

There's a lot of options for Linux+ including a new self study kit available
from Novell that comes with VMWare images for use with the course. Also,
several community colleges seem to be teaching a Linux+ course these days.
LPI's are probably the best of the vendor-independent certs. RHCE is a good
one, but it does cost a lot to get through the certs and testing is in
Detroit.

Just my opinion though...I am a NetWare kid at heart, but am leaning much more
to Linux lately.

Ok.. I know this has been discussed before.. And at present I can't search
the website because I am at work and they have blocked it for some reason.

My company is currently looking at having me get Linux Certified. What is
the most bang for the buck certification out there and also for those that
have done more than one which is the best. I am trying to find ones that are
vendor independent.

SAIR
LPI
Linux+

Are the ones my employer asked me to look into .. Just wondering if there
are any others I should look at.

Thanks

Andrew Eidson
