Try SHOUTcast: http://www.SHOUTcast.com
a mix of (mostly) MP3 and AAC streams.

and Icecast.org: http://dir.xiph.org
a mix of MP3 and OGG streams.

There are others, but those are your best start.  Note
that the streams come in a variety of bitrates.

Play back is via XMMS (my preference), Kaffeine, Xine,
or VLC.  I prefer XMMS partly because it can use
"WinAmp 2" skins.  You can also record multiple
streams to your HD with StreamRipper and manage your
stream lists with StreamTuner.
